I am a self-taught photographer specializing in still-life and portraiture photography.
The hustle and bustle of the streets of London is a constant source of inspiration and influence; as a result my practice has initially gravitated towards street photography, architecture and cityscapes. My interests now lean more and more towards the of use artificial lighting in a studio environment where my aim is to reveal the inner-beauty of mundane everyday objects.
To me the magic of photography resides in the idea that by simply pressing the shutter a photographer gains the ability to freeze time and space and in the process creates unique artefacts.
Colour as well as black and white studio portraiture is a new direction in my work and a medium where I can explore this idea of the ephemeral meeting the permanent.
